Such a cogent way to describe our condition. On the one hand, obliviousness is deepening, perhaps the silent despair of people who do not think anything can be done other than to just avoid the misery and distract themselves. On the other hand, there is more and more of a sense of fellowship and oneness on the rise, and hundreds of thousands of fine people are working to reconnect humanity to the environment through all kinds of very creative and thoughtful projects. And most of these projects are done on shoestrings and clearly are not defined by money. So there is hope but we all have to work for it.
